Alexey, what's exciting in your new role?
It’s thrilling to join a company that has the potential to create real impact in such a down-to-earth context as food.
I’ve found it incredibly motivating to solve problems that relate to my own life compared to my previous roles that revolved around corporate tech infrastructure.
What I’ve seen so far is a unique product with a lot of potential. I'm convinced we're on the brink of building something extraordinary.
What made you choose Improvin’?
I was on the lookout for a small-scale impact startup for almost a year. I came across Improvin’ and immediately felt that this could be a great match.
I wanted to work on something meaningful. By meaningful, I mean optimizing for the greater good and working on problems that have the potential to push global improvements in leaps - such that can be fueled by solid feedback loops.
I'm looking forward to the challenges and opportunities of this role and to exploring growth beyond my comfort zone.
What are your first impressions of the team? 🌱
Corporates often say “We are a family”, yet sometimes you feel rather lost, just due to the pure scale of it.
Here, I have a strong sense of an actual family-like bond which has felt like a breath of fresh air.
I’ve met very passionate, like-minded individuals. Everyone’s kind and cares.
You're quite a music enthusiast - tell us about it! 🔥
Well, right now with two young children, my personal hobbies are on pause.
However, music has always been a significant part of my life. I used to play guitar, even in bands. I also picked up the Shakuhachi flute a while ago.
If you’ve ever heard the Shakuhachi flute, you know how relaxing the sound of it is. Hearing it the first time blew my mind. Playing the flute is like a meditation exercise: you have to concentrate a lot on your breathing.
Dancing, especially Lindy Hop, holds a special place in my heart, too. I actually met my wife on the dance floor, and Lindy Hop is also partly the reason we moved to Sweden. We visited Stockholm for the first time for a dance camp maI ny years ago and fell in love with the country.
3 things that excite you right now?
🤝 This might sound cheesy, but I’m really excited to work at Improvin’. It’s genuinely thrilling to be part of this small and mighty team.
💚 Watching my family grow, both in numbers and in skills, is incredible.
