Meet Marie Liétard-Montigny - Account Executive France and Spain at Improvin'
Marie, a seasoned tech professional from Paris, enjoys a good windsurfing session and any interesting dance class. Get to know her! 🌱
Marie, what's exiting in your new role?
Starting at Improvin’ has been a full-circle moment.
In the past, I’ve headed the commercial roll-out of impact startups in Europe and worked for established tech companies. The impact entrepreneurship scene called me back.
Being at the forefront of the digital and sustainable transition of the agrifood sector feels thrilling.
It helps to be proud of what you’re selling, and I honestly couldn’t be more convinced about what we are building. Hearing our customers say "This is the best system we’ve ever seen” gives me goosebumps.
What made you choose Improvin’?
I sought purpose and flexibility, and when I met the Improvin’ team, I got pulled in.
I’m from Paris, France, but I’ve spent the past 13 years abroad. I wanted to move closer to my family but not sacrifice the remote-first setup or the international team I’d gotten used to.
Career moves must feel good in the gut. The energy, technical leadership, ambition and values that the Improvin’ team conveyed made the decision a no-brainer.
First impressions of the team?
The energy here is unparalleled!
Every week, there’s good news to share: new functionalities getting shipped, new customers, partners, and awards. I feel like I’m on a rocket ship.
The team boasts a diversity of perspectives, backgrounds and experiences, yet everyone’s aligned toward the same goals.
What makes you fired up outside of work?
I’ve been dancing since I could walk. Name a style, and I’ve tried it. Lately, I’ve been reconnecting with my latin dancing community and trying out new trends, such as techno-ballet.
Windsurfing and kitesurfing are passions of mine, too. I usually gather a group of friends for a watersports workaway somewhere by the sea every year.
I’ve been traveling a lot, both for my profession as well as personally. Exploring architecture and design in new places, especially in hospitality, has become my thing. The latest gem I found was during my trip to the Lofoten Islands, Norway.
Trevareabrikken is an old fish-oil refinery site turned into this gorgeous eco-conscious hotel, and I saw northern lights over the sea from their terrace. It was an unforgettable experience.
3 things that excite you?
🇸🇪 I love Scandinavia and a big bucket-list item of mine is spending a month working from a summerhouse by a lake in Sweden. I’m trying to make it happen this August.
🎨 I have two co-living projects cooking: one in France, one in Morocco. My Pinterest board is filled with inspo for both.
💚 The dynamic impact entrepreneurship scene and the ambitious entrepreneurs driving it make me quite hopeful for an exciting and sustainable future.
